    Hello All,
I've been playing 5-Color for a while with a few friends of mine. We live in CT USA and trying to get some more people to play. Most of the people I meet that play magic on a regular basis all play the standard type of playing (you know only the new shit) and draft alot. But anyways onto a few questions I got.

First, what in the world is a "Heavely modified Jeweled bird"?

    Second,
I noticed while reading these forums people are against cheating like with using other peoples jeweled birds their ante, and you errata the card. Good job. But I haven't noticed any mention of the old school dick move of tempest effreet and dance of the many. Is this because it can be stopped by paying ten life? If so I'm still not going to play those two cards cause I'm not a dick.

One that has heavy modifications on it ;) Alternate art, scribbles, etc.

Because those cards suck and nobody plays them.

So jeweled birds from cronicles (white boarded ones) are not legal to play unless you draw on it?

It's got to be worth playing for. Make it interesting.

If you are not artistically inclined, I recommend a few of the following:

    - Write a phrase or statement that either boosts your self-esteem or belittles anyone you may be playing with in a general sense. For example: "You're a dick if you try and win this JB!" "I'm your Dad and I don't love you."

    - Create a design on the card, but not overly so that the integrity of actually being a Jeweled Bird cannot be called into question. Spirals, checkerboards, or other goofy shapes work just fine.

    - Draw two circles near one another. Then draw on the top of each circle a line, so each line is parallel. Then, connect the tops of the parallel lines with a half circle. You have now successfully drawn what I have on almost every single card I own that I play with for Ante: A penis. Bonus: Squiggles on the circles makes it more festive and realistic.!

Have fun and oh... Tempest Efreet is boo. Timmerian Fiends however... B-Ro-Ken. ;)

Let me guess... I moved away and everyone in the area lost interest in 5-color, huh?

Lance and I play 5-color all the time, at least once a week, minimum.

Nothing... just picked the top discussion and posted. I was just commenting on the lack of discussion lately. I suppose I could start posting jokes about your mom again...
